If there's a strong anti-incumbent sentiment in 2012 it's quite possible that Republicans could lose the House but gain the Senate and Presidency.  There are a lot of marginal seats in the House which went Republican during the 2010 wave, and it wouldn't be hard for some of those to switch back. Today's Los Angeles Times Poll is reporting that Governor Davis' favorable job rating has reached an all-time low of 27%, with 64% of Californian's disapproving.

Buried within the poll data is the fact that 39% support a recall drive, while 51% oppose it.  Is that a glimmer of good news for Davis?  Not really.

On the state level, our choices for Governor were pathetic.  Most of the voters who dragged themselves into the polling booths are still walking around a week later with severely pinched noses.

I noticed a huge discrepancy between the CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll results from June 21-23 and June 28-30 on the generic Congressional ballot.
